May 2026 Saw Pluses and Minuses in the Input Price Index

Jerusalem, 16 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported mixed data from the “Input Price Index” for May-2026. An Input Price Index measures the average change over time in the prices businesses pay for the raw materials, goods, services, and labor required to produce their own products.

0.6% increase in the Input Price Index for Residential Construction May 2026
0.2% increase in the input price index for commercial and office construction May 2026
0.3% increase in the input price index for paving and bridging May 2026
1.2% decrease in the input price index for agriculture May 2026
0.8% decrease in the input price index for buses for the entire population May 2026
0.7% decrease in the input price index for buses on fixed routes May 2026
0.5% decrease in the input price index for minibuses May 2026
