Jerusalem, 23 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data from the Labor Force Survey for May 2026.
Seasonally adjusted data for May 2026 (compared to April 2026, among those aged 15 and over):
Percentage of the Labor Force – 61.6% (61.9% in April).
Employment Rate (percentage of employed people out of the total population) – 59.9% (60.1% in April).
Percentage of unemployed in the labor force – 2.8% (3.0% in April).
Percentage of people aged 25-64 in the labor force – 80.9% (81.0% in April).
Employment rate among those aged 25-64 – 78.8% (unchanged from April).
The percentage of unemployed people in the labor force among those aged 25-64 – 2.7% (unchanged from April).
The percentage of employed people who usually work full-time, out of all employed people – 79.1% (78.6% in April).
