Jerusalem, 22 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich and senior officials from The Ministry of Finance met with senior executives from high-tech companies amid the challenges facing the industry following the sharp strengthening of the Shekel and the artificial intelligence revolution.
At the meeting, Smotrich emphasized the state’s commitment to work to strengthen and preserve the strength of the local high-tech industry, which serves as the economic engine of the Israeli economy, and said: “The high-tech industry is a strategic pillar in Israel’s economy and national security. the Ministry of Finance is working to create the tools and business environment that will allow local companies to continue to lead in the global arena. We are attentive to the challenges you face, and together we are examining the right ways to support the stability of the industry.
