Membre de l’organisation criminelle Abu Latif arrêté
Had Nes : un membre d'une organisation criminelle arrêté dans le Golan
On 02/02/2026, Border Police officers of the Northern district Central Investigations Unit raided a compound in the community of Had Nes in the Golan Heights, where a senior member of the Abu Latif crime organization had allegedly been hiding since the launch of the overt phase of the investigation involving the state’s witness known as “the Prince.”
During the operation, the suspect, Bashar Mahoul, 43, a resident of Peki’in, was located. A search of the apartment led to the seizure of a copy of the indictment from the “Prince” case, raising suspicion that the suspect continued to closely monitor the legal proceedings against members of the organization while he was in hiding.
This morning, upon completion of his interrogation at the Northern District Central Investigations Unit, the State Attorney’s Office will file an indictment against him at the District Court in Haifa for a series of offenses, including extortion by threats.
This arrest adds to a series of operational achievements by the Northern District, including the recent filing of a wide-ranging indictment against 17 defendants from the Abu Latif and Hariri crime organizations.
