Jerusalem, 25 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The “Foodtech Avenue” complex and the National Agro-Tech Center were inaugurated in the Galilee, with an investment of 30 million Shekels ($10 million).

The Ministry of Economy said it is Expected to bring about a “dramatic change” for residents and businesses in the area by attracting leading high-tech companies and creating new, quality jobs based on technology and innovation, which will bring with them high productivity and attract a professional workforce to the Galilee.

The project creates a “One Stop Shop” model for the first time in Israel: A complete and coordinated continuum from the agricultural field to the lines of industry and startup companies, through two physical anchors: the Agro-Tech Center (at the Orchard Farm, Neot Mordechai) – a complex of approximately 800 square meters that includes research laboratories and workspaces for startups alongside experimental plots; and the Foodtech Avenue (on Hatarshish Street, Kiryat Shmona) – the center’s complex includes infrastructure and advanced equipment for research in the fields of food, nutrition, regulation and post-harvest produce handling.
